A tanwall is the badge. So we named the house after it.
A tanwall is the tan-sidewall tire nearly every gravel rider runs — the one you clock at fifty feet across a parking lot. It is the closest thing the sport has to a membership badge, and a plain descriptor no apparel maker had claimed.
So we built the brand we wanted: graphic-first casual wear and exacting guides for people who chose washboard and B-roads over pavement and pacelines. The technical-document aesthetic — cue sheets, tire cross-sections, geometry charts — drawn properly, one strong element at a time, at a price that survives a gift impulse.
How we work
Ridden, not spec-sheeted
Recommendations come from real miles and the community's hard-won consensus — not a lab we don't run. We say so, every time.
Paid by clicks, not brands
Some links earn us a commission at no cost to you. No brand buys a ranking, and gear that stops earning its spot comes off the page.
The goods fund the guides
Every design is original and made to order. Sales keep the field guides free and the sealant topped up.
